In addition to the courses offered across both the College of Engineering and the Johnson Graduate School of Management, a unique component of our program is the capstone Engineering Management project. Over the course of the semester, I had the chance to work directly with IBM on an IoT logistics project and have real-world impact.
M.Eng. Degree On Campus Program at a glance
The Master of Engineering degree can be completed in two semesters of intensive study, or in three semesters for students who want to include an internship, extra electives, or need time to adjust to study that departs significantly from their undergraduate experience.
The Master of Engineering degree is a coursework and project-oriented program. It requires thirty (30) credit hours consisting of coursework in major and supporting areas, and a project. This generally corresponds to 9 regular courses. Attendance at a one-credit, project management seminar and a one-credit professional and leadership development series is also required, for a total of 32 credits minimum to graduate. Each student’s program also includes at least 9-credits worth of electives selected to provide a track area of specialization. We have put together seven track areas of specialization + a “build your own track" tied to common career paths of Engineering Management degree graduates.
The Cornell Engineering Management Program was started in 1989 making it one of the longest-lasting reputable programs in the country.
